In 1994, Lisa Marie was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given 9 months to live. As a result of a diligent study of the Word of God regarding salvation and healing and placing her complete faith in Christ she had a divine encounter with God in October 1995. Pastor Lisa Marie and 18 other terminal cases were completely healed in their physical bodies and set free at The RHEMA Prayer & Healing Center, on the campus of Kenneth E. Hagin Ministries Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kenneth E. Hagin, Sr. laid hands on Lisa Marie and sent her forth to minister the anointing that she had received to those in “her own town”. She immediately returned to Baltimore and began to hold meetings in various locations, teaching, preaching and healing in the name of Jesus.

Lisa Marie met Lawrence in 1997 and they were married in 1998. In 1999, Lisa Marie moved out of the work world and into full-time ministry, establishing The Healing School, in Baltimore, Maryland. In December 2002, after their ordination they established The Healer's House Ministries, Inc. in Randallstown, Maryland.

Lawrence is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a MBA. Since the early 80’s he has worked in accounting management in healthcare and banking and more recently as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in service organizations such as healthcare and international Christian missions. However, in 2007 Pastor Lawrence A. Fox joined Pastor Lisa Marie in full time ministry in order that they may work closely together, to effectively fulfill the call of the Gospel on their lives and on their ministry.
