James is a young boy who always complained from the time he woke up , until the time he went to sleep.

Lisa:"Wake up James and get ready for school" Lisa (James Mom) said.

James:"I don't want to get up, it's raining!"

Lisa:*sigh* "I picked out your clothes, here you go."

James:"I don't feel like getting up. I'm too tired and I don't like that shirt"

Lisa:"Boy, you better put those clothes ona dn then come down and eat! I made pancakes and eggs and bacon"

James:"I don't want eggs, I hate eggs."

Lisa:"Boy, get down here and eat these eggs!"

James:"Fine! "*stamps down the steps.

Lisa:"Pick up your feet; here's your plate."

James:"Ewww, why are these pancakes so dark... I don't want this!"

Lisa:"You know what? I know the perfect thing for you to eat"

*Sits Bible on the table*

Reads Philippians 2:14-15

Do all things without complaining and disputing that you may become blameless and harmless children of God without fault in the midst of a perverse generation , among whom you shine as lights in the world

James:"Wow! I didn't know God doesnt want me to complain."

Lisa :"No, He doesn't and I don't either"

James:"Sorry, I'm gonna do my best not to complain"

Lisa :"Ok, well , get ready , your bus is almost here."

Lisa :"Okay"

*Gets on the bus"

Boy on the bus says, " I hate the rain. It messes up my whole day. Why does it have to rain."

James: "Don't complain about the rain. Just be happy we are not in a drought.'

Boy:"Wow, I never thought about it like that."

James:"Yeah, I can be deep."

James:"This morning my mom read me a scripture and I found out God does not want us to complain."

Boy:"Woah, I never knew that, thanks for telling me"

James:"You are welcome"

*Gets off the bus and goes to class*

Girl: "Why do I have math class, I'm never going to use it in life, it just gets on my nerves."

James:"Well, at least you have a school. In some countries, they don't have schools.

Teacher: "Wow James, I am really impressed with you today. Your name is going up as Shining Star"

James: "Wow, thanks!"

*Thinks to himself how it really does pay off not to complain*

So everyday since James has made an effort not to complain.

He was rewarded by teachers, his parents, and most of all by God

Never forget that obeying God pays off in the long run
